Duncan has been a member of the ADC Fraternity since 1975. He served as the sixth president of the ADC Fraternity from 1978 to 1979. He volunteered at Jenkins Orphanage, Coastal Center, volunteer with Charleston County Court Services Juvenile Detention and supported Fraternity’s Big Brother Program. He volunteered in the Prince George’s County Maryland Public Schools serving as PTA President, Vice- President, and Delegate at Rogers Heights Elementary School, PTA member and volunteer at Kenmoor Middle School, PSTA member at Heather Hills Elementary, PTSA member at Laurel High School, member of French Immersion Support Group at Rogers Heights Elementary and Robert Goodard Middle School. Parent support and volunteer with GEAR-UP program Laurel High School, Maryland. Duncan was a volunteer and member of the Parents and Concerned Persons Auxiliary at Nation House Watoto School, Washington, DC. He was a volunteer counselor with African Centered rites of passage program for teenage males in Washington, DC. He was a volunteer parent and assistant football coach with the College Park Maryland Boys and Girls Club.
He served as Chairperson of Human Rights Committee for New Vision Photography Program for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, Washington, DC. He was a member of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and Behavior Support Advisory Committee, National Children Center, Washington, DC. He has mentored and advised college students at Prince George’s Community College.
Current Community Impact: Serve as the President of the Springdale Grove HOA, Maryland. He volunteers at local churches and community organizations assisting seniors, youths and others who may need assistants with life issues (e.g., moving assistant, housing or food). He donates meals and counsels seniors, youths and young adults.
Goal: Support communities in the development, nurturing, rearing and the education of African American children and youths, mentoring adolescent and young adults.
Assist communities in developing and sustaining quality and effective healthcare and mental health services.
